BIO OF SHANA HIATT
Shana Hiatt is a model and presenter who was born in 1975. A former Army child who grew up mainly in Tabernacle Township, New Jersey.
She is best known for hosting the first three seasons of World Poker Tour (WPT) on the The Travel Channel. When she first started out working on the WPT, she was not a poker player. However, she now is an avid player who plays mainly online, but has been known to venture into various casinos to play.
She is formerly the hosted the show Poker After Dark, and the National Heads-Up Poker Championship, both on NBC. Shana left the shows in 2008, due to pregnancy. She was replaced by Marianela Pereyra in Poker After Dark and by Leeann Tweeden in National Heads-Up Poker Championship. Before joining Poker After Dark and the National Heads-Up Poker Championship she has a few problems with the WPT. She sued the producers of the World Poker Tour in order to get a restraining order to prevent them from keeping her from working on the shows. The WPT argued a non-compete clause was part of her contract, which meant she was unable to work with rival shows, but Hiatt said that she never signed the clause.
Hiatt was Miss Hawaiian Tropic USA in 1995 having represented Beach Haven, New Jersey after winning the local Hawaiian Tropic pageant at Touché nightclub in 1994. After becoming Miss Hawaiian Tropic USA, Hiatt was the cover model and posed nude inside the pages of Playboy in their April 1995 The Girls of Hawaiian Tropic issue. She also was on the cover for the video of that photo shoot Playboy: The Girls of Hawaiian Tropic, Naked in Paradise.
Shana was picked as the 75th place in the Maxim Magazines “Hot 100 of 2005”. She also had apprearances on various shows and movies including “Must Love Dogs” and “Grandmas Boy”. She was once married to James Van Patten, the co-host of the World Poker Tours, Vince Van Patten.
